Patterned Pots & Succulents Workshop
What started as a creative experiment for my own porch –– where I bought a patterned bowl from HomeGoods, filled it with pebbles and potting soil, then topped it with a trio of mini succulents –– turned into a full-fledged event after the enthusiastic response I got when I shared photos to Instagram of my cute little patterned pot and succulent creation.
Shortly after my IG coup, I hosted my first in-person Patterned Pots & Succulents plant styling workshop that summer (2017), then held several events in the summers that followed (2018 and 2019).

THE DETAILS
event FLOW
Upon arrival, guests got to “shop” for their pots and plants, then create their own custom arrangement (with instruction and guidance from me), while sipping vino, listening to good tunes and socializing with friends (old and new)!
As the name (and photos below) suggest, there were PLENTY of patterns, colors and styles to choose from for the pots and a beautiful array of succulent options, too.
And because I provided all the necessary supplies, my guests simply had to show up, be willing to get their hands dirty (wink, wink), and ready to have some fun!
At the end, they each had a stylish one-of-a-kind potted plant friend to take home, along with detailed care instructions and hopefully a new human friend (or two) to add to their crew...
